First Grade Reader's Workshop

I recently read this book, First Grade Readers, by Stephanie Parsons.  If you are a First Grade Teacher, there are some very helpful mini-lessons in this book.  There are seven units with a year of classroom-ready, developmentally appropriate lessons for a reading workshop.  The units focus on launching reader's workshop and building community, understanding text, engagement, metacognition and questioning, making meaning, fluency, and building successful reading habits.
